Su Jian (苏健) is a concept artist, illustrator, and comic artist based in mainland China. Born in 1983, he has built a career spanning film, animation, games, and comics, with a strong focus on visual storytelling and world-building.
Alongside his commercial practice, Su Jian is actively involved in education and mentorship. He serves as a professional tutor at the Digital Art Research Centre of the International College, Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), and is a standing committee member of the Digital Art Committee of the China Film Art Direction Academy (CFADA).
His personal work includes the concept art collection 108 Furious Warriors, a modern sci-fi reinterpretation of the classic Chinese novel Water Margin, and is characterised by cinematic composition, painterly textures, and a distinctive narrative atmosphere.
Su Jian has also contributed to a wide range of high-profile film, animation, and game projects. His film and animation credits include Dear Mr. Heavenly Fox, League of Gods, The Return of the Condor Heroes, Ne Zha 2, Monkey King: Hero Is Back 2, Chang’e, and The Unruly Immortals. In the video game industry, he has worked on titles such as Honor of Kings, Where Winds Meet, Once Human, and Diablo Immortal.
From 2014 to 2019, Su Jian served as Art Director at Summerstar Media & Entertainment Group. He later founded Xinghe Culture Media, focusing on concept design outsourcing and industry training, before joining NetEase Games Design Center as a Senior Concept Design Specialist from 2021 to 2024.
Since 2024, Su Jian has been collaborating with both Chinese and international teams on selected projects and is always open to new opportunities.
